Managing metadata templates

The Metadata Templates option on the Configure Asset Management page displays the existing metadata templates that can be selected when adding an asset. You can create a new metadata template, modify, copy, or delete an existing metadata temple, or add required fields to all existing metadata templates.



Portfolio requires one metadata template to be the default metadata template. The template set as the default template cannot be removed from the system. If another template is already set as the default, and you specify another template as the default template, that template becomes the new default metadata template. If you are currently editing the default template, the checkbox to set the template as the default template is disabled and cannot be changed.
